My expectations: Meeting new people, who are very diverse while sharing knowledge and maybe who knows, pens.
Reality: Sitting right next to a person who smells, hostility and sleepy (maybe high) people.
Sometimes, I feel anxious and curious when starting new classes. You never know who will be sitting right next to you for the next couple of months. I mean, I technically don't know anyone in that class unless I have specifically been told by my friends that they will be taking the same classes as me. So you have to be extremely lucky to find the perfect spot. You don't want to sit too close to the front, or else the professor will be able to tell that you are sleeping (for those sleepless nights that you roommate decides to stay up); and you don't want to sit too far in the back, or else you will be distracted by what everyone is doing and you will end up taking your final with a WTF? face.
As I say, its like starting fresh and new, you can pretend to be anyone; A jock, the class clown or if its a 250+ student class, just another pair of eyes. But please don't forget to shower every time you walk into class and if you see me in the crowd, don't bother, I will pretend you are not there.
Where do you "sit"?
