The first category I will be talking about is on Academic Success; my main goal for this
category is to have a 3.5 GPA by the end of the fall semester. The way I will be accomplishing
this goal is by going to the Writing Center at least once to get help from the staff, by turning
my homework in time in every single class and by attending all my classes and lectures and if,
unable to attend (in case of emergency or illness only), let my professors know of my absence
and still turn in the homework that is due on that day. I will ask a classmate for any notes taken
that day so I don’t fall behind. I believe by doing all the things I have listed above, I will increase
my chances of obtaining a better GPA by the end of the semester.
By this time, next year I will also have decided what I want to major in. To do this, I
will talk to a professional in the career I want to pursue, I will explore my career options in the
Career Center and most important, I will meet with my college advisor. I know it will be very
challenging, because I am always changing my mind but if I stick to my plans and goals I know I
will be able to do it. By the time I graduate I will have earned a degree in the career that appeals
the most to me because right now I am undecided on what I want to do. To achieve it, I will keep
my mind open to any challenges, explore jobs and internships and lastly, I will maintain a 3.5
GPA or higher.
