Throughout my life, I have been
given opportunities to participate in many school-sponsored activities and all
of them have created a long lasting impact on me. I can look back any time and
remember them like if it was only yesterday that they happened. Thanks to them
I believe I can, “Inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become
more” (John Quincy Adams). That is why I joined VOICE, a student-to-student
mentoring program offered at Teton High School created to support students,
specifically freshmen, to make a smooth transition from middle school to high
school.
VOICE helped some of them figure
out who they are and teaches them how to make decisions when they are
struggling. VOICE is there for
them, needed or not. This program has
been a great experience for me because I have learned to love myself and to be
thankful for the life I have. I have also learned that together we could
overcome obstacles. VOICE gave me strength and purpose when no one seemed to be
there for me. Now, I want to help others build their dreams and help those who
have lost it along the path, to find it. I want to give them the opportunity to
see through my dreams and let them dream with me.
